“The 2013 Noto Santa Cecilia is a smooth and delineated expression with dark fruit tones of cherry and plum that rise to the top. The wine shows no rough edges and the mouthfeel is velvety and rich. It sees 21 days of skin maceration and undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. The finished wine is then aged in two and three-year-old Allier barrique for 14 months. This is a very impressive vintage”. RobertParker.com
2013 HARVEST AT NOTO: The winter at Noto was very dry and even the spring had little rainfall. Because of this we thinned out the Nero d’Avola vines a little more than usual. Eventually the harvest was very cool and this has provided a full, dense and not particularly alcoholic Nero d’Avola. The Moscato is aromatic and distinctive.
Riedel in 1992 already started the research of a selected glass shape for each different kind of wine. Since then different ones were born: from Riesling to Cabernet. In 2016 Georg J. Riedel has invited Nero d’Avola producers to try their wines in 10 different glasses, specially selected, to choose the one which expresses the most the variety’s potential.
